Wake Up Lucid - Hoek’s Death Metal Pizza, SXSW, Austin TX - March 17, 2010

[from Los Angeles, CA] I wanted to see this band because the homecoming (prom?) king of my 5000-person high school is in it but Rockboy had actually listed them as someone he wanted to see through his SXSW research – they were great – hard blues rock with garage swagger - vocals and lyrics are genuinely blues inspired - something like The Black Keys, which is a very good thing as far as I’m concerned.
