Mac McCaughan - Beerland, SXSW, Austin TX - March 19, 2015

[Chapel Hill] The band (sorry, the singer/songwriter – what are you thinking, Beerland?!) before the band I was there to see. Borrrring. But as the crowd’s enthusiasm suggested I was alone in this opinion, I risked humiliation and asked who was on the stage – apparently the former lead singer of Superchunk, a band I only vaguely remember from the 90s. Whatever they sounded like, he sounded like a singer/songwriter. Brave man.
