Tall Heights - Revolution Hall, Portland OR - November 21, 2015
[Cambridge,
MA] Very pretty sound. Pluck guitar, drums, upright bass – initially reminded
me of the modern folk sound I am so sick of (Mumford) but ultimately they were
much more moody and atmospheric. Chamber pop. Band of Horses, Beach House,
Kings of Convenience. He said he finds himself telling the audience what the
song is not about – this song is not a love song – I do not believe he got the
reference. They spoke in NPR voices. Covered a Feist song with Shook Twins. Photo credit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09o_j8GJytg
