[Portland, OR] Guitar, bass, drums,
keyboard – Flame introduced himself to Keith who ended up being the drummer –
nice. The band was primarily the girl who sang lead vocals and alternated
between a sax and a flute (which gave the band an odd Jethro Tull air). They
were a pretty straightforward jam band – the girl sang well – they had some
jazzy moments – some keyboard soloist moments – often funky - sometimes the
girl or a the backup vocal guy would kind of rap-sing. Flame observed how great
bands with brass are a la the Hartigans, David, etc. A little Pink Floyd moment, a Jethro Tull moment, some
prog.
